District in The Press
"Ever wanted to bump off your boss? Alas, we can’t be an accessory to that, but you could watching a murder mystery unfold in your office while you follow it at home from your laptop. London-based District Theatre is taking over companies’ abandoned buildings to run Murder on the 28th Floor, an interactive and immersive comedy, streamed straight from your office."

Duncan Cameron from our Liverpool cast chatted to Nicky Campbell and Rachel Burden on the 5 Live Breakfast Show
"This sounds great! ...It's a tough year for the performing arts and anyone involved in that so this is a really inventive way to find different platforms for actors to get work... brightening up your office party!" Rachel Burden, Radio 5 Live Breakfast

"We would never have given Zoom a second glance before all this, but it has been an exciting learning curve to work within its confines and discover its creative potential... what’s brilliant as well is the democratisation of it, and the way that someone can watch the show as easily from Taiwan as they could from Tottenham."
Co- Artistic Director Marie Hamilton chats to Jason Rosam on the BBC London Early Breakfast about jumping out of filing cabinets, running through deserted corridors, and how the show came about.
"There’s nothing more enlivening than seeing something or somewhere you know really well totally transformed, so we ran with it. We took the vintage Ealing comedy Kind Hearts and Coronets and Magnum PI as inspiration, added some filing cabinets and a photocopier or two, and we were off."

"Murder On The 28th Floor sees District Theatre taking over office spaces to perform a show via Zoom for the team of staff that usually work in said office space. Watch as two hilarious, mad-cap detectives solve a string of murders, live, from your empty offices... Great for a virtual team party"
"Our new show, Murder on the 28th Floor, is a murder mystery in a similar format to Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Two investigators who've watched a few too many 80s cop shows... running around their desks in fake moustaches humming the theme tune to Hawaii Five-0. "

The show was absolutely brilliant - everyone on the team thought it was hilarious.
It was the perfect balance of being interactive and personalised, and really brought the team together as a group.
At a time when everyone is ‘Zoomed out’, this was a real breath of fresh air... hosting it in the office made it feel so different from any other virtual events on offer. Marie and Christian were fantastic.
